A seasoned educator and performing artist, Alec was the viola professor at Renaissance Arts Academy in Glassell Park, California, and held the Richard Rintoul Viola Chair at the American Youth Symphony, where he played eight consecutive seasons.
Alec lives in Brooklyn, New York as a violist, violinist, teacher, and recording artist.

As a private tutor and public school educator with over ten years of experience, my most advanced high school graduates have gone on to major in music at Stanford University, the University of California, Santa Barbara, and California State University, Long Beach; passing a rigorous audition process for which I extensively prepared them.
Through my studies in the Philosophy department at the University of California, Los Angeles, I gained the requisite skills to read, write, and proofread at a graduate level; excelling at subjects such as logic, rhetoric/persuasion/debate, computational thinking, mathematics, and scientific epistemology.
