"I'm a visual artist, children's book illustrator, and scientific illustrator with over 10 years of experience in the education industry, specializing in illustration, traditional drawing, and other fine art techniques. I’ve worked with all ages, from early childhood to adults, teaching a range of subjects from crafts to fine art. I’ve worked as a teaching artist at multiple public schools throughout New York City, teaching studio art, sculpture, puppet making, art history, and scientific illustration. I currently work as a teaching artist at Harlem School of the Arts. I’ve also assisted with portfolio prep for students applying to art high schools and colleges and adults who want to develop foundational skills or explore new media.
I began taking advanced drawing classes at the age of 6 and continued to study drawing, painting, and sculpture in middle school and high school. I have an academic background in Multimedia Art, Scientific Illustration, and Fine Art. I received my MFA from Newcastle University in 2014. I have worked professionally as an in-house graphic designer, and currently work as a freelance children's book illustrator and greeting card designer alongside my studio practice and teaching career.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'd love to hear from you!
