"I am a full-stack LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) developer with 19 years' experience. I also have a passion for language and taught my first English as a Second Language Lessons at age 15. I have been tutoring English for 7 years and web development and web design for 3 years.

My teaching style reduces learning anxiety and programming anxiety, and helps students with long-term working memory so they keep what they learn, rather than forgetting it after the exam. I also teach Dutch, having lived in Flanders for 20 years. After many conversations with Dutch students, Dutch linguists, and Dutch teachers, I have found a way of teaching Dutch that helps students truly love the Dutch language, learning deeper and more effectively. I am in the process of working on a web application to help people learn Dutch together with the author of a Dutch textbook which uses a similar approach.

I can help you with MLA, APA, and other types of formatting, but I will help you become independent so we can go on to make you the best writer you can be - with the hard work of brainstorming for essays, finding good sources supporting your thesis statement and getting your thesis statement in the best possible shape based on the sources available to you.
