"Welcome! My name is Annalise! I am a recent graduate from Graceland University. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in K-6 Reading. Teaching is my passion; I love to watch students grow and find confidence in their abilities.

I am a firm believer that EVERY child is a natural learner. Learning is an innate trait that every child has, and it is my job as an educator to cultivate their skills in learning. I hope to do that for you!

I know the material I teach. I've learned this material as a child and now again as an adult through my degree and field experience. Common Core covers a lot of material, it can be intimidating for students to take in. Tutors need to be equipped with a "tool box" of strategies to help a student succeed, I am ready to break out the tools and help students.

I am an avid reader. I love to journal and practice these skills on a regular basis.

My experience has been primarily in lower elementary (pre-k, kindergarten and first grade). These are the years that phonics is drilled to ensure students have the tools to decode and create words. My experience has allowed me to become extremely comfortable with this content, be able to apply it and to teach it.
