"My musical background starts with playing in both my middle school's orchestra and jazz ensembles. I continued throughout high school in which I was in honors county, all state jazz, and even the top tier jazz band at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp both summers I attended. I also performed in my high school's orchestra pit all four years. My post-secondary education background was in web development.

I initially taught guitar in order to work my way through college. I used the Berklee method in order to train my students in the fundamentals and then would tailor the rest of my approach around the interests and goals of my students. I enjoyed it so much I that continued to teach privately full time, long after I finished college!

I have taught students ranging from age 6 to adult and have even had a handful of students who have gone off to study at Oberlin, Berklee and NYU. I have been teaching for over twenty years now.
