"As a transfer student at Westfield State University, I am pursuing a history major. My academic journey has been enriched by the diverse courses and resources available at the university. I actively engage in my studies, exploring historical periods and developing critical analytical skills. Westfield State's supportive academic environment has helped me transition and succeed in my major. These courses have broadened my perspective and honed my ability to think critically, which is essential when explaining complex concepts to students. The skills I've developed allow me to draw connections between different subjects, making it easier for students to see the relevance and application of their learning. Additionally, the well-rounded education I am receiving helps me create interdisciplinary lesson plans that engage and inspire students across science, math, and history.
I currently have no teaching experience to recall. Tutoring with Wyzant will allow me to work directly with students and apply my academic knowledge practically.
