"I have been a classroom educator for 20 years. I have taught 1st and 2nd grade. I am currently working in the school system teaching small reading groups using Wilson Reading System. I am a Wilson Certified Instructor and I have a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Carson Newman University.

I use The Wilson Reading System because it is a systematic and explicit approach to reading. It is researched based and integrates the 5 critical components of literacy- phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension.

I have personally seen the growth of students while using Wilson during my small reading groups. They are progressing through the steps and becoming stronger readers each day.
