"I’m Darius A. Journigan, a Chicago/NYC-based actor, director, and private acting coach originally from Detroit. My journey in the arts includes studying Acting at California Institute of the Arts, earning an Associate of Occupational Studies in Acting from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and a B.A. in Communication Arts from Marymount Manhattan College. I’ve trained with top coaches like Dennis Hilton-Reid and Thomas Rene and continue to push my craft through advanced acting workshops.

My acting credits include roles such as Christian in *Ruined* at the Athens & Epidaurus Festival in Greece, Hal Carter in *Picnic* at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Conduit #2 in the immersive play *Adonis Memories* (In Our Words). I’ve also performed in the immersive virtual reality experience *Flock* (Jump In The Light) and co-starred in the New York premiere of *The Sex Myth: A Devised Play* off-Broadway. A recent career highlight was playing Lysander, Snug the Joiner, and Mustardseed in *A Midsummer Night's Dream*. I also starred in the feature film *MCKENZIE MCCOY*, available to stream on Amazon Prime and Tubi.

As a coach, I offer personalized, comprehensive training. My sessions begin with text analysis, allowing us to identify areas for growth in speech, projection, and body-voice integration. We then explore the world of the play or film to align perspectives before diving into tailored exercises to enhance self-awareness, body and voice capabilities, and audition techniques.
