"Gary Young earned his master's in English with a concentration in teaching writing. He has helped hundreds of students to improve their essay writing, correctness, and creativity while teaching at Northern Michigan University, Marymount College, Northeastern University, and Beijing University of Education.

Gary has also worked at private academies as a writing teacher for middle school and high school students, and currently works as a private writing tutor / editor. He has published essays on writing and the teaching of writing with the University of California's 'Writing on the Edge', and 'The New English Teacher.' He has served as a primary editor of published books and essays for English professors. Gary has also helped high school seniors to write and revise personal, engaging college application essays, and his students have gone on to gain acceptance at Ivy League colleges and universities.
