"I love helping student achieve their goals while enjoying the process and their accomplishments. I have tutoring experience for youth ages 3 and up as well as college students and adults. I have extensive practice teaching languages, business, and student success skills. I have a PhD in Education and a PhD in Psychology. I also have a degree in mechanical engineering and worked as an engineer at Goodyear for many years. I teach online (all ages, 3-75+) and I lecture at Indian River State College.

I believe that although the immediate need may be to succeed with a specific test, and can certainly teach to that goal with both content knowledge and testing strategies, I believe that true learning happens when the student learns how to learn, which includes not only the content and testing strategies, but also tools for building the skills for future learning (including learning strategies, framework strategies, and memory skills).

I also believe that no two students are alike and that each student needs their immediate and long term goals addressed effectively.

I am TOEFL Level 2 certified through Arizona State University and I have taught English online for years.
