"I have a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, Literature, and Psychological theory from Whittier College, where I also studied English Literature, and my self-designed senior thesis was judged by master's level criteria. I later trained as an actor both at Yale School of Drama, and at Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre, Los Angeles, where I was subsequently Associate Producer and also Production Instructor for young adult acting students. Some of my most fulfilling teaching experience has been instructing the technical aspects of theatre production to the acting students at Stella Adler Academy, which boasts a student body that is both culturally broad and diverse in age. I have worked for many years as a freelance business writer and screenwriter, and have taught essay and creative writing privately, on a tutorial basis, beginning as a college student. It has always been a pleasure for me to see the sense of empowerment my students find in themselves as they develop the basic skills in writing, theatre, and understanding literature on deeper levels.
