"Having worked in the education field for over 20 years, I have truly found my passion in working with high school age students for the past 13 years and truly enjoy my life learning from them. High School students bring so much energy and passion into their work, whether it is academic, extra-curricular or an after-school job. They are always on a mission and ready to let you know what that mission is; sometimes, you have to read between the lines, but that’s what makes my work exciting! They keep me on my toes, wanting to learn more, so that I can give them more.

I have attended several universities, as I traveled with my husband in the Army for seven years, while I pursued my degree. I began my quest for education at Stephen F. Austin University, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Then I attended Wharton County Junior College, where I earned an Associates in Liberal Studies degree. From there, I attended Barstow Community College in Barstow, California and took correspondence classes from the University of Arkansas and Southwestern Adventist University. I also attended University of Maryland – Germany and, finally, graduated with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies from California Baptist University. I received my alternative teaching certification from I Teach Texas. And, after a few years, returned to the university where I began and earned my Masters in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification.
