"Since 2011, I have gained extensive experience tutoring upper-grade students in U.S and World History and, most importantly, in College Writing. Initially at Bergen Community College (BCC/Paramus, NJ), and subsequently as a private tutor, I have specialized in helping students craft terse, clear, and well-organized papers. I also have helped individuals write college application essays (reference letters available) which helped them get accepted.

I am a NJ state certified Teacher of both English (7th-12th Grade) and Elementary education (K-6th Grade). I am patient and supportive, but I also believe in getting right down to the root of a student's problems so as to achieve their goals in as quick, efficient, and professional a way as possible. For all students, from elementary school through college, I am skilled in demonstrating ways of creating texts that exhibit good structure, style, and flow. I can examine a student's work to point out to them any mistakes with content/grammar/mechanics, and can explain the basic “ABCs” of effective writing.

I graduated from Ramapo College (Mahwah, NJ) in 2011 with a Bachelor in Literature and a NJ Teacher's certification. I have taught HS English at Garrett Morgan Academy (Paterson, NJ), 6th Grade Reading at Bergen Arts and Science Charter School (Garfield, NJ), and have substitute taught K-12 students in Mahwah, Garfield, and Midland Park NJ public school systems. I am an award winning poet (BCC), and achieved Certified Tutor Level I status through the International. Tutor Program in 2011. I have performed finger style guitar at coffee houses and assisted living facilities for over 20 years.

My volunteer work with "Literacy Volunteers of America" has also given me much experience working with Second-Language-Learners.
