"I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Counseling, but I also have a passion for writing—it was my minor in college! I have over four years of experience as a writing tutor for high school and college students. In addition to tutoring one-on-one, I also spent a semester as a teaching assistant for a college-level course on grammar and writing style where I supported students in evaluating and improving their own writing.

With my tutoring experience and passion for writing, I can teach specific grammar concepts or work with you through the process of writing essays or other assignments. I especially enjoy research papers! I offer support through the brainstorming process and teach the skills you need to gather and synthesize sources, to develop arguments, to convey your thoughts clearly, and to follow citation styles (MLA, APA, etc.).

Unlike some subjects, writing is not about searching for the correct answer to a problem. Instead, it is about finding what you have to say and using your own voice and skills to say it well. Because I value what you bring to the table, I ask questions to help you develop your thoughts and strengthen your work.
