Up until now, I've always taught on a volunteer basis. Quite some time ago I taught reading to adults through the Durham Literacy Program using a multi-sensory methodology. I also taught public school kids through the Augustine Project using the same approach.
I recently became certified to teach English as a second language through the TESOL Institute (TESOL stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
My minor at Williams College was Spanish literature, and I very much enjoy teaching Spanish.
With a Masters from Yale and a passion for politics, I feel qualified to teach middle school civics. I also feel qualified to teach any elementary school subjects.
I set my rate low because I don't have references as of yet.
