"Hello all! Why am I tutoring English? Honestly, it was a mean English teacher in 7th grade, and a Teaching Assistant my first semester at Cornell. I learned grammar rules at age 12, and style when I turned 18. Writing is NOT complicated, but it will make you stand out for the rest of your life. I have been writing professionally for decades, and I am a camp counselor at heart. I am a modern day, female Professor Henry Higgins--only I will be way more fun. I promise to make our sessions productive and inspiring.

I will teach you when to say "you and I" and when to say "you and me". I will teach you the difference between "less" and "fewer" (yup...there IS a difference.) You will learn when to use a period and when to use a semi-colon. You will learn the trick of using "good" versus "well". I promise you will write and speak better than most newscasters!
