"Since I was in middle school I was a gifted artist, I was passionate about my art and had a lot of time to invest on it. This aloud me to hone my skill. For I high school the Fine Arts program at South Miami Senior High for four years. I took and passed classes like AP Drawing, AP 2-D Art and Design, and AICE Art and Design. Also took and passed Beginning Drawing and Beginning Painting at Florida International University while still in high school. All these courses are offered to the upper classmen, for juniors and seniors. During does two years, other upper classmen and myself tutored the under classmen who were taking lower level classes in order to get them to the level required for does higher level classes. We were assigned a table of 2 students for the whole year. In that time period we bounded and learned from each other expanded our knowledge of the arts through daily exercises that build habits and develop your style as an artist. My main focus was always to help does students find themselves as artist. I had them experiment with different mediums, while at the same time teaching them how to use them. While art is all about freedom, in order to achieve that freedom one must develop the skill required. This is only possible by repetition and daily habits such as sketching or simple, small thoughtless artworks. In my experience this helped me a lot and it also helped them. I have only good memories from does times and is why I wish to somehow bring them back through the use of this program.

In regards to the Spanish tutoring, I was born in Cuba, a Spanish speaking country. I lived there until I was seven and then moved to Miami. The point being is that it is my first language. I took AICE Spanish in high school and passed the exam with distinctions. I was also in the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica (Spanish Honor Society) where we offered tutoring to does non Spanish speaker who need help and does who where native speakers but needed help understanding literature." less...
