A tutoring session with me will start with me working hard to understand where you are in relation to the assignment at hand. Soon, I'll be guiding you -- not answering the questions for you, but helping guide you to the answers yourself. I don't leave till you understand the questions at hand.

I have taught basic statistics and tutored graduate statistics, and I have used statistics both in my job and in my research. Thus, I have a solid understanding of the basic principles as well as the tools of the trade.

Physics was my first academic love; it's simply a mathematical approach to understanding the physical world around us. I love sharing that with others, from teaching undergrad courses to tutoring high school level. I've been a principle participant in a physics learning fair for kids, and it was a true joy.

Twenty years ago, I stepped into the world of teaching as a computer tutor. I was trained well, at a company that required us to maintain a very high satisfaction rate on daily student surveys. I am certified in JavaScript from Certified Internet Webmaster courseware, and have taught JavaScript at Charter College several times. My success under the pressure of that job gave me a lot of confidence in my ability to help others succeed no matter the software involved or the student's initial comfort level.

I earned an MBA in Telecommunications Management from Alaska Pacific University in April, 2006. Since earning my MBA, I have practiced business every day as a for-profit college dean. I live in a world driven by numbers, and margins, and customer satisfaction rates. Thus, I not only know the academic side of the realm, but I'm also intimately familiar with the dirty details of real life.
